What is a demo and why are they so important?
A good songwriter demo is probably known more by what it doesn't have than by what it does.
No long intros, no heavy production, no heavy use of background vocals, no extensive
overdubbing, and no long solos (if any at all) are found in solid Nashville
demos.
The demo is the selling point of your song and even though it may be an awesome
recording it might be an ineffective demo. Conversely, what might sound like a
fairly pedestrian demo might actually make a strong song presentation. Demos
typically have the vocals WAY out front and the instruments buried WAY in the
back. Demos are not little records. They're demos.
One of the fastest ways to spot a non-professional in Nashville is by listening
to demos, and it usually doesn't take more than about 3 bars to do so. You don't
just need demos of your songs. You need demos that won't get in the way of your
songs.
Recording
Artist Projects (Master Recording)
You, the artist, know better than anyone how your music should sound. You also
know what would be possible if you could just find the right players, the right
studio, the right producer or co-producer, and the right engineer but you may
not be in a position to put it all together. That’s where we can help. Making
your vision a reality is exactly what we take the most care in accomplishing and
we've got the studio resources in our own Bomb Shelter Recording Studio to do
it, as well as the players, the producers, the experience, and the proven track
record.
Independent Artist CD projects are one of our specialties and we've had nothing
but rave reviews by the independent artists we've produced in the last 4 years.
Rather than talk ourselves up we'd rather you just listened to some samples off
those projects to see for yourself (follow links listed below). We don't pray on
vanity. We embrace talent. The one thing we promise any artist that records with
us is that they'll love the sound of their CD and that it will be something
really special, which is why we don't take every artist recording project that walks in
the door. It has to be something we believe in and can really get behind.

awesome. Great drum sound." Mark Noone, lead singer for the
"Grandsons of the Pioneers", Washington, D.C.
"Your studio doesn't feel like a studio. I feel like I'm sitting in my
living room which is much more conducive to my style of recording.
Awesome guitar tracks, Bill. Thanks!" LuAnn Reid, Nashville TN.

It's obvious he does this because he loves it," Andy Sperry,
