About Us

Write THIS Music is a music publishing company that is owned and operated by Bill Renfrew.  Bill has been a Nashville songwriter, producer and session guitarist since he moved to Music City from Rockville, MD in 1996.  Before coming to Nashville he played with many artists including Bo Diddley, The Marvellettes, The Shirelles, Sam and Dave, Mary Wells, and The Dynettes.  Bill also owns and operates Bomb Shelter Recording Studio. 

Write THIS Music offer a range of services including rewrite consulting, studio recording, production, Nashville Number Charts, and more.  Write THIS Music administers a catalog of songs which are pitched in Nashville on a continual basis.  The catalog contains songs from about 30 writers.

As a music publisher Write THIS Music receives many songs.  Many of those songs have redeeming value but they're not ready for pitching on Music Row.  Bill says, "It's beneficial to songwriters as well as us when we help writers get their songs in shape for the Nashville market .  We've wound up with some great songs in our catalog as a result of the rewrite consult...songs that may never have come to be had we not invested in them individually."

Three songs that underwent rewrite consults with Write THIS Music charted in 2009 and 2010.
